SSC JE 2023 notification overview: Staff Selection Commission has released an official notification for the recruitment of the SSC JE 2023 for civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering candidates. The official notification has been released by the SSC on 26 July 2023. The online application form for the post of Junior Engineer in different branches should start to apply from 26 July 2023 and the last date to fill out the application form is 16 August 2023. The Computer Based Examination for the post of SSC JE 2023 Junior Engineer in various branches will be conducted in two stages or papers that are mentioned in the table below:

Points to be Remember:
- There will be a negative marking equal to 1/3rd of the marks allotted to the question for each wrong answer in Paper I & Paper II.
- There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of scores of any stage/ paper(s) of the Examination. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
- Candidates are allowed to bring their own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Table, and Steam Table for Paper II only. They are not allowed to use such aids for Paper I.

General Intelligence and Reasoning: The SSC JE 2023 Syllabus for General Intelligence covers a wide range of question types, including both verbal and non-verbal aspects. It includes questions that gauge your awareness of current events and your ability to apply scientific principles to everyday observations and experiences, which are expected of anyone with primary education. Additionally, the test covers questions about India and its neighboring countries, with a focus on topics like History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, and Scientific Research. Importantly, these questions are designed so that you don’t need specialized knowledge in any particular subject to answer them.
